The Ministry of Electricity and Water recently presented 18 projects to the Central Tenders Committee (CTC). The projects involve maintenance works on cables and secondary transformers, in addition to water and other consumer related projects at the ministry’s utilities, reported Alam Al-Yawm daily. The daily quoted sources as saying the move is aimed at upgrading the utilities to increase the energy and water capacity, transportation network, water distribution, advanced power services, and other similar projects, such as replacing the current pipelines.

Sources went on to reveal that many projects have been submitted to carry out maintenance and renovation works at the power networks, for instance to supply and install regulatory and power devices, plus the importation and installation of electricity meters and data collating systems.
